Whelen 2910- Alert

Here is my video that I shot this morning of a Whelen 2910 in alert. Just like my 3016 video this one went off a little later than it was supposed to.

Thunderbolt 1000T Siren Test

I know I already did this siren, but the camera wouldn't stop autofocusing throughout the whole test, so I had a chance to redo it and I jumped on it. They pressed the button for alert, when they were supposed to press attack, and they realized their mistake and pressed the right button (this siren ...

Re: Creve Coeur, IL Thunderbolt siren. Pics included

Hey guys, sorry for the very big bump, but I have info regarding this topic. I have resent my letter again, this time to a different address, and today I got an email back from the grounds manager. He is hopefully going to point me in the right direction. Just thought I'd let you all know.

Re: Whelen WPS 3016- North Pekin, IL

It's actually mounted up pretty high. I stood there forever waiting for it to go off. Oh, and for anyone wondering: The STL-10 and 3016 work as a tag team. The 3016 handles the tornado warnings, and the STL-10 handles the village's fire calls. I now have videos of both going off.

Yesterday I went out to get the 3016 siren in North Pekin as part of the first Tuesday of the month tests.
So, without further ado, here is the video:

Re: Hello from Nebraska

Could you get us a pic of both of the siren heads? Identifying sirens by panel help us narrow it down to the brand and a few models, but not one specific model. If you want a specific model you have to look at the head in most, but not all, cases. Like withe a whelen, a type III panel is used for 5 ...

I believe different municipalities are allowed to choose their own signals if they wish.

Re: Daren Illinois Tri-State Fire Protection District #2 ACA Hurricane-130 Images

You'll laugh at what Garland replaced them with. ATI's........................Yes ATI's. Needless to say they didn't last a quarter of the time the Hurricanes did. They were so bad that Garland abandoned them for Reverse 911 before going with Whelen Vortex's a few years ago. Oh ok. Haha. Finally yo...

Re: Mini North Eastern Wisconsin Siren Hunt

That's a weird mount for the Allertor. Is that control box for the Allertor? It says Federal Signal on it so is it for the Allertor or for another? The original controls probably broke after ACA stopped making that particular unit, so they called Federal Signal and installed a Federal control box. ...
