Re: Alaska Tsunami Sirens

IIRC, that directo got removed and the 2000 was either replaced by that mod or is the replacement for the directo.

It's been a bit, But I am so excited to see this old siren have a second chance at life! I bet the next generations will find 508s and restore those! You've come a long way with this siren dude.
They'll probably have all collapsed by then

Re: Mystery British siren in Peterborough

Re: Mystery British siren in Peterborough

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that this is an earlier Secomak single head. The rectangular mount rules it out being a Castle, because their mounts are smoother and curved, while this one is rectangular. The stator openings also look like that of a Secomak stator.

Re: Markleysburg, PA

That carter was made by Line Material Company of Stroudsburg. Not made in Canada, but the company who made it does share some relation to CLM. The sirens in Markleysburg and Newell are close to each other, and don't resemble anything made my any company we know of today. My bet is they were made by...

Hey y'all, long time no see.
I see some things have changed around here...
Anyway, I recorded this on New Year's Eve. It's the first recording of it to my knowledge.
I don't really visit sirens much now, but I still love 'em.
Well, Auf Wiedersehen. For now.

Apparently the ACA Banshee at 53.4630013567649, -2.8659648857550946 is still there according to street-view
It may look like it is, but look at the date of which that streetview was captured. September of 2008.
