Not sure the volume is much different, that thing is pretty high pitch which will make the Mic peak.

Pretty much every siren, aside from the ones listed above weigh close to or more than 400 pounds. I got a shop crane from TSC for about 200 bucks, helps load, unload, and move those sirens around.

This thread has been locked before it heads down hill anymore. I'm disappointed that we can't keep what should be a very informative post on track. Yes there are people who have been asking WAY too high of prices for sirens that are not truly or thoroughly restored. I would like the original poster ...

I can verify this idea works! This is how I run my model 3... just use my big blower motor as a rotary converter.

Somewhere I've got a picture of the inside of a Vortex R-3 and you can see how they cap off the top horn. I'll post it once I find here in a bit

Are you gonna paint it yellow or make it a bumble or blunderbolt. I personally would make it a bumblebolt but that's just my opinion. I'm not sure yet, but in the near future it will be cleaned up and kept in its current state, until the temps warm up, i get more time, and more money become availab...

I plan on keeping it the way it is since they're not very many of these sirens around so i would like to try and keep it as close to original as I can.
