Re: Beautiful Picture of Whelen 2910

Oh Brother... Locking this before this goes down the drain...

To the OP the picture isn't bad and the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I just know this will go down hill quickly and don't want to allow that to happen.

Nope, The Jailbar is staying here in Texas with me and is being kept for my own personal project. The allertor will be reinstalled one day.

Re: Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

Ok...ok...ok... I've been quiet hoping this would right itself but now I've had it. I would expect more respect and maturity out of some users on this board who should be guiding the other members instead of just continuing the issues. I guess i'll close this thread since its completely derailed wit...

Re: Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

Dang that's scary. I think that this is kinda how that -SRNB I recorded probably looks inside its box. Were they all dead? They weren't completely dead till they got hosed by the spray. They were kind of funny since it was cold and they can't fly and are disoriented so they have no real idea of wha...

Re: Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

Here are a few pictures from inside the grid faced thunderbolt, which turned out to be a wasp mansion. They were everywhere inside that siren, even in the motor. There must have been 300+ wasps in there. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5602/15627827307_83ce1cc9ee_c.jpg Untitled by mixerbd699 , on Fli...

Re: Rare purchase

Its a general rule of thumb not to ask someone how much they spent on something. The issues of people derailing threads is beginning to grow again.... which won't be put up with. Moderators are here and will do their job and step in when it is needed. Otherwise please do not throw the thread off top...

Re: Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

I will be going back and getting the blower and stuff later. The pole that the siren head was on was beginning to lean so I wanted to get it down. We also had limited time to get the bucket truck back which meant I could only get the head down. no way! is that Allertor the "weather vane Allerto...

Re: Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

None of the old sirens are currently for sale. I have been given the task of removing and deciding what to do with them. The removal process is not cheap and will be apart of the cost of any sirens that would be sold IF any are sold. Many of the remaining sirens are in spots that are extremely diffi...

Siren Craziness In Fort Worth!

This past week Jeb (Holler) came out to here to help me out with some repairs to the Whelen system. Before we took the bucket truck back we decided to have a little fun and make an attempt to remove two of the old remaining sirens here in Fort Worth. The first siren is one of the Vortex units that h...
