Re: Baltimore Testing

Recently 4J25 went to Baltimore and was hoping to hear the test for himself but nothing sounded. There are 2 sirens (one I know does work) that are technically still active and working but they aren't tested and don't sound regularly... or at all. Which siren is active? Like where is it located, st...

Baltimore Testing

I've heard that Baltimore tests on Monday's at 1 pm. Is that true? I never actually went to one of the sirens in Baltimore on a Monday at 1 pm to see if they test. If that's true, can someone tell me the address of one of the sirens that do actually test? I'm sure most of them are inactive. People t...

Re: When does Peach Bottom Power Plant Test and How far can a T-128 be Heard?

Generally the range of sirens like the 128 are a little over a mile. Peach Bottom tests on the first Wednesday of June and December at 1PM. Just a mile? Wow that's strange because I've heard an STH-10 from over 4.6 miles away. It was very quiet and faint. There has to be no wind at all for me to he...

When does Peach Bottom Power Plant Test and How far can a T-128 be Heard?

So last week, I went to Pennsylvania and I was around the Peach Bottom Nuclear Power Plant which owns over 97 T-128 emergency sirens. I saw over 6 or 7 and I came back the next week, and the sirens were rotated the opposite direction... So obviously they've been tested or used for an emergency. Can ...

Re: rcm panel confusion

Your thoughts are mostly correct. The RC5(W)A and RC6A are for 3 phase and the "B" variant is for single phase. The W just meant that the motor starter is in a weatherproof cabinet. The non-W variant isn't weatherproof and usually installed inside a building. The RC6 (both A and B) were a...

rcm panel confusion

so i know for the 2t22 you need an rc5 or rc5w motor starter, and for the 3t22 you need a rc6 motor starter. and i was wondering, is there a such thing as a rc6w motor starter? and also if you have a single phase 2t22 you would use a rc5wb motor starter and with the three phase 2t22 you would use a ...

So far I found none.

It's the best to ask the 'Higher Council' members. I'm from Malaysia, not the US. No siren graveyards around me, just having an ambition to own a Thunderbolt 1000T and set foot near one of the sirens around me to take footage of it.
alright. thanks for the suggestions.

Re: Who to talk to for getting a siren?

thing is, im no where near west shore services. i live really far away. There's dozens of Siren Graveyards around the US. If you're lucky enough, you'll find a P-50 or an EOWS-1212. Good luck bringing and running a P-50, that thing is even larger than a Peel P-50 and really power hog. You could mut...

Re: Who to talk to for getting a siren?

Another alternative of getting a siren for yourself is to go to siren graveyard, which is West Shore Services that we're all familiar with, look for a working / repairable siren of your choice and buy it. You need to talk to the Graveyard owner first before you buy. MI-}? (Am I right?) thing is, im...
