The GP10 at the lorne fire station is actually a GP6. The intake on a GP10 is smaller than a GP6
This map is ancient now, we have a new one which is 1000x better, and will be posted on here upon completion. It's about 75% done now.

Re: 2nd Klaxon SS6 in existence (Klaxon version of the ACA Sentry 95)

Now, I must clear up a misconception. This is NOT "the Klaxon version of the Sentry 95". Klaxon agreed to ship some of their sirens to ACA for resale in the US. ACA did the same with klaxon, some various things like Cyclones and Hurricanes were shipped to Klaxon (heard a lot went to East ...

Re: What the 8/12 siren in Stanvac was

Got an email back from Sirenco after calling them, they said the 15D is 10/12, and based off the specs, runs at 2875 RPM, with a 3 phase, 480v motor at 50hz.

Someone able to synth this?

55°03'43.7"N 1°35'40.0"W - Klaxon?

I actually think that looks like a Sirenco 15D, but that's my guess.

Re: What the 8/12 siren in Stanvac was

It's been probably half a year to a year since I made that discussion of the Cyclone 125, I can safely say, that it is ruled out as an option. Since that post, I've gone to do an absolute ton of research, revealing the entire line of Grifco products, and all their information, plus a bunch of resear...

Re: UK Siren Map

This has been discussed before, but there is a "GP6 vertical" at 53°30'02"N 0°00'14"E, which has been marked incorrectly, I can say with 99% confidence, that's a Mechtric MS22. They are manufactured in my country, Australia, and are found all over the country. Now, you may be goi...

Re: 2nd Klaxon SS6 in existence (Klaxon version of the ACA Sentry 95)

Now someone needs to find out if this is active, maybe even claim it and transform it into a 95 somehow. That's the plan, I've sent some emails out, to see whether it's in use. I have a suspicion it's not because theres a newer station next door to the building the siren is on, and as Ben said, pag...

2nd Klaxon SS6 in existence (Klaxon version of the ACA Sentry 95)

Hi all, I was doing some siren mapping around Australia, and I came across this: https://www.flickr.com/photos/190595816@N04/51588417400/in/dateposted-public/) Comparing it to photos of the one found in the UK, and after talking to numerous people, we've concluded it's the second Klaxon SS6 in Exist...

Re: ACA sirens in foreign countries

IIRC a coded Hurricane was sent to Klaxon South Africa which dealt ACA sirens. Not sure what happened to it, I think it was just a demo model. Not sure about any installed sirens in South Africa. As for Taiwan, they have very weird Cyclone style sirens that I don't think are ACA, but the fact that ...

Re: Indonesian/Australian mystery siren

G'day everyone. Lightningfun64 and I have made a somewhat of a major breakthrough on this. We found a news article from WW2, which states that these sirens were designed by Swedish engineer - Harold Ekman, and manufactured by Swedish Electric Co. Sydney had the first order of them, supposedly their ...
