Federal Signal EOWS 612 [Kingston, MA]

This is an EOWS 612 siren (number 110 in the system) equipped with an UltraVoice controller running voice and 3 minutes of alert. It is located across the street from the Kingston Collection in Kingston, Massachusetts and is part of the Pilgrim Nuclear Generating Station's siren system installed in areas within 10 miles of the plant. The system is tested annually, usually in November, at 3:45 PM, but different sirens are tested year-round as shown in other YouTube videos. It is unknown when this siren was installed, but some at airraidsirens.net have estimated that this was installed in the early-2000s, although the mall was built in 1989. The plant opened in 1972 and is slated to close in mid-2019 after years of protests from various organizations. The system is currently made up of EOWS 612s and Modulators, although EOWS 408s were formerly part of the system prior to 2006.
