I've seen this clip a few times out of my own interest in the subject, but it wasn't until now that I noticed the siren sounding isn't a 2001, like most of Joplin's system.
Missouri Southern State University's campus used to have an RSH-10 and I believe this is the only video in which it can be heard sounding before it was replaced.
This particular video is also notable as the siren is sounding in warning of the 2011 EF5 tornado that really culturally marked the city. I live here currently and there's evidence of it having happened everywhere, people are still working to recover and there's several memorials dedicated to those who didn't survive.
With that in mind, this is a pretty eerie but very important video I thought would be cool to share.
Evidence will remain for many many decades to come. The F5 that hit Grand Rapids MI over 60 years ago left behind permanent scars in people and the landscape, and the story of that wicked wind can be told in the trees.

Their CD system probably sounded for that. What year was it?
