As part of Iowa's 2019 Severe Weather Awareness Week, on Wednesday, March 27th, 2019, a statewide tornado drill was held. The City of Dubuque participated in this drill by sounding the emergency warning sirens.

Here we have on film a full regular activation of this system. As noticed in the monthly test video, they start in Alert, and switch to Hi-Lo for the rest of the activation. I have no idea why they do this.

Included at the end is some bonus footage, or audio, of a WPS 2903 a whopping 7 miles away (the wind was blowing just right) sounding a 3 minute alert. Dubuque activated at about 10:07 instead of at 10:15, hence why I just barely caught the windup on camera. With the way the wind was blowing and everything, this thing sounded very buzzy in person, and I have to say, Hi-Lo on this controller is probably the punchiest Whelen signal I have ever heard.
