Those of you that are on the Siren Enthusiasts FaceBook page probably already saw this, but I believe this definitely deserves a share here.
The city of Sierra Madre, CA appears to have recently tested their warning siren...a B&M (20AR7 IIRC); this has to be the first recording of one of these ever captured! It sounds like it has a 14/16 ratio, but it needs to be confirmed. Check it out!

Very nice find! Definitely looks like the first in the wild, and sounds great too!

Wow that's awesome! I never thought someone would actually record one. I was kinda hoping it would be a 16/20 port but 14/16 is still pretty cool.

Pretty certain this is the siren I recall seeing in Redington Shores, FL, in the mid '90s.

Wasn't there a Vertical B&M siren found on the Grapevine Spillway in Texas?

I don't know what it is. I don't think it is a model 2. I looked at it on google street view, You can kind of see the silhouette of the siren under the shroud. Honestly, I'm stumped.

Actually according to the Texas statewide map there are 2 dams/spillways in the area that use these sirens. They are B&M Model 10s. The one on the grapevine spillway I actually pictured a while back in person.
