I don't think something like a mechanical siren will have a beacon. This 'addon' seemingly common on electrobic types.

But is there really a mechanical siren with a beacon on top, other than this?
Not to derail the thread but you bet. All of Richardson, TX's T-128s have strobe lights.

Back on topic now.

Litchfield, OH's Sentry sirens all have beacons, but hardly any of them are working anymore.

If I'm not mistaken they don't activate anymore since the controllers were replaced with the FCs.

At least one of them does, I think it is seen in FireFreak57's Feb(?) Litchfield Video.

Litchfield’s units are from 2002 and 2003, so it is possible that they either wired them up so that the beacon wouldn’t operate when they were fitted with the two-way FC’s (Medina County switched to a Commander system for countywide control of all the sirens in the county which resulted in the FC’s being added in 2013/2014), or that the xenon flash tube on the 40V2T at the Spieth Rd. water towers as well as the 40V2T on Vandemark Rd. simply burned out from age.

The 40V2T downtown that operates on 480V has a beacon that was recently fitted with an LED bulb; however it is not visible in most videos because it is a standalone beacon mounted further down the pole, and of course the 15V2T I recorded back in March also has a working original beacon.

Is Bixby's CTI still active? hate to bump. It also appears that the omnidirectional in Okmulgee is inactive and the last standing.
I'm Jacob Ulrich or MidMissouriSirens on youtube.

It isn't unheard of. We exported a 2 horsepower Gent siren to a US town. It's still there too.
Sorry to bump, but where is the location of this Gent siren? I'd like to see it sometime.

There used to be a CTI at the Beaverdam, VA Fire D.E.P.T on Beaverdam Rd. But it was removed sometime in September 2009 and no sirens ever replaced it, It was the same siren in the first photo, that's all I know so far.
The only Beaverdam FD I found had an xt22.
