I wish there would be more great discussions posted like this on the board! Forget the kiddie crap, this is the best and most educational post I've read on here in a long time.

I saw one somewhere in south-central Nebraska about ten years ago.

Wasnt there two Soundmaster 125s mentioned to be in IL? One was in a park and they were both green?

EDIT:

Here is a picture of one in Cedar Vale, Kansas posted by user kswx29. According to the street view, this siren was still up as of March 2014.

Double Edit:

My bad, those 2 Soundmasters were in Iowa. They were yellow and were removed. Then one was restored, and coated with green paint. It has the alternating horns like the one above.

I attempted to find the one in Attica, NY (on my honeymoon even LOL), it was dark out when we made it to Attica but generally speaking you can see the outline of the siren at the very least in the dark. I didn't see a siren anywhere around the firehouse, I drove around the parking lot and checked.. the possibility is that it could be roof mounted but I have also used Bing Maps to take a peak at the roof and didn't see a siren up there either. I suppose that the siren could be at the Attica Prison which if that is the case it is going to be a tall order to find, I have also scanned the prison compound on Bing Maps and didn't see it anywhere but it could be hidden somewhere in the buildings or what not.

I've seen the one in Hadar, Nebraska. It is just up the hill from the fire station, which has a 2T22. I'd love to hear a recording of that horizontal core.

I don't know where Attica's Soundmaster was located.

The Super Banshee was once a fairly common sight across the Midwest and Plains. Tomah's siren was a two signal model and has a very stout appearance compared to its multi-signal counterpart.
