Full version of my profile picture. Sentry 10V in Berkeley Springs, WV at South Morgan VFD. I grew up hearing this siren, and its elegant B-flat wail is warming and nostalgic to me. On another note, I'm not sure whether the decal on the parking lot says "No parking lane fire" or "Fire lane parking no."

Long-defunct and naked single-sided Sterling in Berkeley Springs, WV on a factory-turned-shop building. There's an active 8-16 port M-10 fire siren across the street on an elevator shaft.

Fedelcode Model 5 in Paw Paw, WV. Active for fire calls.

Sentry 7V8 or 3V8-H in Shawnee Land, VA.

Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

I have another to add to the list, my hometown's ol' KM-Europ 1kW (yes, 1kW, that's about it) siren, this thing roared to life last Wednesday, and I'd say it's both looking and sounding scary.

I need to find all of my siren photos and get them all in one place, they be scattered! But right now I'd have ti say it's this one, all the shapes, the (edited) lighting and the way it looks...I just like it a lot.

When I went to Chicago, I got some photos of sirens along the highway. Here’s my favorite one, a sentry in Lebanon, Indiana, with lots of clouds.
