Two STL-10s on a mostly weird setup.

I have no clue if the other is a Sterling, but I think so. It also got removed in 2016.

I still post here, but not as much as I used to.

Not really twins but well I was revisiting a kansas siren map I found a setup on streetview of a XT22 next to a dual pole setup Thunderbolt 1003. No idea where that 1003 went as I cant see it from aerial view.
I'm Jacob Ulrich or MidMissouriSirens on youtube.

Does it count as twins if one is Federal and one is Darley? Fraternal twins, maybe?

As long the siren's core is the same, sure, it counts :)

Seems like the Federal is a single-toned model.

One of them is for sure a dual-tone model, according to a newspaper clipping from the time. The assumption was made it was the Federal, as it seems newer, but my old camera really isn't good enough to show the ports inside. I'll hopefully be driving out by there later this year with a much better camera. You are right, though. The white bars visible look like the rotor, visible through the ports in the stator.

Usually single cone sirens are mounted in pairs. It's almost always fire departments that do this.

Here's a map I found With a list of paired up single cone sirens:

https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?ms ... CTjq4&z=20

Most of them are sentry F2's and Federal signal model L's.

The fire sirens are all listed in red.

The map is NOT mine.
