8/10 port sirens

Mon Sep 17, 2018 5:38 pm

Does anyone know of any 8/10 port sirens that aren't the ACA Hurricane 130? There's one I know of that kind of sounds like one and that is the Federal Signal Model 2T, however it is a 4/5 port. If you you know of any 8/10 port sirens please let me know.

The 2T is basically half of 8/10 but spinning at double the speed, so one could say it counts. As far as I know ACA were the only* ones that had 8/10 on a mainstream siren.

EDIT: Ope, I got 8/10 confused with 8/12. Disregard this post.
Here's an 8/10 port WW2 siren:

IIRC the B&M dual headed sirens had a 16/20 ratio, so double that of an 8/10. Here is an advert for them:

There's an 8-10 port dual head siren in the Mystery Sirens thread.

Could that be a B&M? Not sure how big it is, but it very well could be a 15AR-5, as seen in the ad above. Here is a smaller one found on a firehouse years ago, believed to be a 10AR-2:
