Is this a bumblebolt?

Fri Oct 26, 2018 8:54 am

First off I’m sorry if this has been posted or discussed before but I found this video and the YouTube “experts” are speculating that this is a bumblebolt who’s paint happened to fade. Oh and that the blower is reverse wired because it is squealing and there is no pulsating. What do you all think?

It could be, but it's also just as likely that it had a chopper assembly swap due to maintenance. I can't tell if it has bars in the horn, but it looks like it might.

It is definitely (or was) a Jailbar Thunderbolt, it's hard to make out the bars in the horn however.

It's totally possible, considering that Denver had a couple other confirmed bumblebolt locations.

On my phone I can see the bars. She’s a jailer. Too bad you can’t hear the pulsate though... and they didn’t switch the leads because it was replaced by a 2001-130. It’s still there it’s just not connected (according to a couple of years ago...) and I think if someone gets her down they can keep ‘er? Idk. Again YouTube experts...

All but one of Denver's Thunderbolts were removed and scrapped in 2011-2012. The only remaining Thunderbolt is a non-jailbar 1000T at East 38th & Pontiac.

By the way, the Thunderbolt in that video almost definitely had stripes at one point, since it was likely installed around the same time as the infamous Smiley Middle School bumblebolt.

This one definitely did have stripes at a time. It has aged just a smidge though.
