Can anyone identify the siren in this video?

Sat Dec 22, 2018 3:44 am

Alright y’all. I’ve been trying to peice together the history of a siren system near me (Dublin, Oh), and I’m getting somewhere. However, I’m pretty bad in two areas of my siren journey. 1: FS 2001 models, and 2: Whelen controllers. In this video:
https://youtu.be/RMfOP0sAjSg
There are
A)560hz Whelen 27/8/9/05 running wail
B) Whelen 2750 with....... what?
I can say with 100% confidence that these are the older, original sound cards of the system, and they are whelens. And if anybody has info in Dublin, that’d be cool! Thanks.
Also, is this running on an older controller? Dublin has all 560 hz now, but is it a possibility they had the mystery controllers AND controllers that ran whatever hz this is?https://youtu.be/jEGMOPu28F0

The higher pitched sirens you are hearing, are Whelens running on analog ESC864 controllers. You are likely hearing those from Columbus.
As for the second video, I don't know.

Gucci. Thank you so much. However, I’ve seen a lot of these videos from this one channel, and I’m pretty sure there Dublin sirens. In other videos, they are prominent, and the nearest 3016 should not be that prominent.

Sound cards. They don't exist in Whelens and they don't really exist in SiraTones either (If I wanted to be pedantic). They're just older analogue controllers.

Anyway, I digress. The second video is a standard 485Hz (in the 400s at least) Whelen. Musically it's the first B flat after middle C!

The first video is a pretty old analogue Whelen of some sort. Definitely not 560Hz

Cool, I’ll keep looking into it. Thank you so much, I’m not sure why I thought they had sound cards.

It's a thing that circles around the YouTube comments. Everyone has to start learning somewhere and you learn best from mistakes!

Anway, hope that helps. That first video actually sounds quite nice with that ambience.
