Another thing that I thought of: Has anyone else seen an ASC "Screamer" in the wild? I say this one (I suppose this would be an OM-107) in Maxwell, IA. Unfortunately, it is unknown if they even test as this siren didn't activate for me...

Graham, TX had a couple. They still have one left in the new system but I a, unsure if that one was branded ACA or ASC. It is dull grey, though.

The country that bought all the sirens that did not pay for them was Saudi Arabia.
They were mentioned in the ACA demo video from 1982 by Jim Biersach himself, so that’s certainly a possibility; that was my hypothesis myself.

If Saudi Arabia did purchase the sirens but never paid for them, how come there’s no recordings of any ACA sirens there? Unless they’ve been replaced by this point...
I remember seeing a few videos from the middle-east of sirens sounding off for a missile strike back in the 1990's. I know there were a few Cyclones sounding off in pulse with a mixture of other electronic sirens sounding off also.
Here's the video of the Cyclones in Saudi Arabia:

I had no idea it was that rare when I Found it and put it on the Iowa map, I had marked it as an S2. Learn something new everyday, hmm?

Wow, I never knew any of this stuff happened with ACA/ASC, especially the Banshee and Cyclone being absorbed into the Screamer line. Thanks for sharing this information with us!

There is one in Lucas County, Ohio to my knowledge from a friend of mine who went up there and took some siren pictures for me. Unfortunately there's a 2001-SRN (AC) right next to it that's hooked up and active, so it's probably safe to say that ASC Screamer is decommissioned as well. It too is painted grey. I have the pictures buried in my email somewhere; if I can find them I will attach them.

Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I've always been fascinated with what happened to ACA/ASC.

Here is an Allertor 125 with an ASC label on the top horn. I heard it got reinstalled.

Obviously, it was refurbished and reinstalled, as Allertors were discontinued in the early 80s. I believe an enthusiast in Milwaukee said that ASC themselves refurbished it, and believed it to be from a different Milwaukee suburb originally. An enthusiast in Georgia who refurbishes sirens has at least installed one P-15 with that circular ASC logo.
