Darley and Bullard Siren in Tucson

These are a Darley and Bullard siren combo located on 6th Ave and 28th street in Tucson AZ.

I know nothing about them, does anyone know anything about these, Why there here, etc?

Looks like a fire siren for a now defunct VFD

Given the Darley (I'd be tempted it's one of the vertical Champions but but the housing clearly looks different) was painted red (and over the years faded), I'd say, too, that it was a Fire Siren, while the E.D. Bullard underneath would've been either a CD Siren or a backup siren.
