Fedelcode Model 1

Thu Jul 04, 2013 4:13 pm

For your edification, behold the Fedelcode Model 1, installed in the late 1950's on a now-unused fire station in Lake Shastina, California.

It looks like a makeshift siren made out of a bucket... Haha, I wonder what it sounded like? (Model 2?)

Thanks for posting that Daniel, we don't see many model 1's in the wild.

BUMP. Can someone please tell me the location of the old station this siren is on? I would like to add it to my California siren map.

Since this thread was bumped, here's another Model 1 in the wild; located in Blairsburg, IA. I swung by there last Saturday on the way to Webster City, and it looks to still connected...granted only to a simple switch.
