I'm currently working on a map of old siren locations in Franklin County. Does anybody know of any?
Are you trying to do a map of the original system or a map of old sirens still standing?

If you are trying to create a map of the original T-Bolt/STL system, I do have about 20 locations, mostly west side and north side.

I know of all the 4 that are standing, but only have 11 of the removed ones on my map. I'll try and see if I can transfer it to My Maps soon.

Why did Franklin County do a 3 minute test today? Did anyone else hear this? It could have just been a glitch in the siren I was near, but I want to make sure.

Really? I never noticed cause I was in my cooking class! Did they do a voice test or any DTMF afterwards?

Nothing from what I heard in my school, I think it was just one siren not picking up cancellation tones.

This might seem a bit random, but does anyone remember when about 10 years ago a siren in Upper Arlington went off in Airhorn by mistake? I believe the siren was at Greensview Elementary School. There is a video on youtube about a siren somewhere else in UA going off in Hi-Lo, but I distinctly remember hearing the Airhorn tone. I looked at some old news articles, which say that around the time of the Hi-Lo malfunction, another siren malfunctioned, but it gives no details.

I do remember a story on one of the TV stations about sirens malfunctioning in UA. Might have been around 2010-2011. I seem to remember someone commenting on social media about the siren sounding like a "European police siren"

Here's the clip of the Upper Arlington Whelen going off in HiLo during a malfunction:

As far as one going off in Airhorn, I'm not sure I've ever heard about that one. I can't seem to find any videos online about it.

Does anyone think that Franklin County will ever come back with voice at all?
