Definitely- and the fact that there is a FIRE STATION right next to it- It can't be that hard to mount it on top of there.

Well then, perhaps it was meant not to project as far because it was too loud or something along the lines of that. For fire sirens they get a lot of noise complaints.

LOL... anyway, have you searched for news reports from the community about it? Usually if there's some kind of public chatter about a siren then it will make its way into a news report.
