How heavy is the fedelcode model 5 by chance

Wed Mar 13, 2024 6:40 pm

I want to know the weight of a fedelcode model 5 because I'm planning on getting one and I need to know if me and other people can remove it by hand without the need of a crane. It's not hooked up to power, so that's one less step. Please answer because I'm clueless. I'm guessing 200-300 pounds but I'm probably wrong.

There is a very old topic about how much a Model 5 weighs. From what I understand, they are 300 to 500 pounds.

Are Fedelcode and FS Model 5s the same thing? If so, my Model 5 weighs around 300 lbs and needed four adults to lift it into the back of a pick-up.

The FS and Fedelcode Model sirens aren't the same. However, they are quite identical so the weight can't be too far off between the two.

I couldn't find that discussion, but holy cow that's heavy. The reason I asked is because there's an inactive fedelcode in Grand Island Nebraska and I want to get it because I've been trying to get a big siren and that one is my chance. Thanks though! I'm glad that this is a website because all the answers I can't find on google are here.

If I did it again I would've brought an engine crane with me to lift it into the back of the truck. That would've saved us some effort! One of the 2-ton Harbor Freight cranes boomed all the way out would do the trick.
