Vixen 120V sirens

Wed Jun 10, 2020 10:47 pm

So while I wait for the local maker space to reopen so I can store and re-store the Deer park Sterling, I was looking at a siren I could buy and move without needing a crane.

I was looking at something like a model 2 or a small sterling like a K5, Little giant or sterling 2V8.

Then I saw that Vixen horns, a company known for things like car mounted air horns and sirens makes a handful of traditional "industrial" sirens.

They're all 110-120V, so powering them is OK. Here's the link :https://vixenhorns.com/product-category ... ical-120v/ . Vixen seems legitimate but I can't see a Db rating. However you can preview how they sound, which I appreciate.

Has anyone had any experience with Vixens? I know Whelen did vehicle mounted sirens before going to outdoor warning too and their products are generally regarded as Ok.
