In New York City, there is a siren that is mounted 500 feet off the ground.
I am in Ms. Scott's classroom right now. It's 12:45 PM.

You wanna elaborate on that? That's as tall as a skyscraper and I'm not buying that.

How about 10 feet off the ground?

Then you're in the wrong thread.

I think nathancovey is talking about the Sentry 40V2T (possibly a 40V1T) on top of a tall building (some Jewish center or something if I remember right) in NYC. Dunno what the 10 foot statement means.

This unit is located in Akron Colorado located on Cedar street next to the railroad crossing. I'm guessing it's a model 5. (A little off topic but about Akron) For anyone interested, there is also a whelen vortex located a few blocks north next to a park on 5th st, one block West of cedar. I'm not sure if there is any other sirens in this town besides these two.

I wonder how many times someone has been on that leg when that thing activated! Sorry for the photo being sideways, That was the best pic I could get with my phone while still giving an idea on how high it is.

Who would of ever thought to mount it on top of that grain leg??? That is actually a great idea. You got easy stair access right to it.

That looks very dangerous whoooooo gives me the chills.
My knowledge excels on the Federal Thunderbolt siren and SiraTone EOWS sirens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
