Steelville Missouri Sirens

Thu Oct 08, 2020 12:49 pm

After some info brought up by another member on my mapping thread, I found out Steelville has 6 sirens. I have located 4 out of the 6 with my own finds and from the recent addition of the STL-10. I was wondering does anyone else have any other info on this system including test times?

From what I know after looking around online, they test yearly on the first Tuesday in March, at 10:00 AM.
One of Indianola, Iowa's old RM-127's is currently sitting in my backyard.

STL-10? Where?!
Update, found it, but you're missing what I think is a Sentry at 37°57'12.85" N 91°21'40.44" W

Or it could just be another STL-10, because the outline looks like the STL from the previous find.

I plan on going back out to steelville for their yearly test in march, so I'll come back with a confirmation on what that mystery siren is.

The only one I ever saw in Steelville when passing through there was a T-Bolt 1003

Thanks for the location info, that looks like a sentry 3V8-H/7V8 to me. 1 siren to go.
