well, yeah. we need a better photo because there is no possible way we can see solenoids or dampers in that photo
Sirens may not be sexy, but they sure work.

Yeah I apologize. I live in Canada, and it’s stuck in the USA. (We bought it remotely)

I will try my best to get a better photo in the next few days.

I’ll be anxiously awaiting better photos because that does look like it could quite possibly an ACA coding mechanism to me. If nothing else your question is well founded.

I have a very good feeling it is coded. Comparing it to a known coded one (that being Mineral Point, Wisconsin), the two seem to be an almost identical match at least to me. Of course, better photos are a necessity for positively identifying such things, however that can always come later.

Here is Mineral Point's one if you would like to personally compare and contrast:

It very well could be, looking at a pic (not mine) of both together, the noticeable difference is the logo.
You can notice both are faded on the same side. It also has nearly the same appearance.

side note: the sirens in the background of the picture below are not mine, the picture came off eBay.

The banshee you got is coded. It also did come from Mineral Point. ECS (AKA former Action Electrical Contractors for those that remember that name from the old Rock County WI Sound Master post on here) are the Wisconsin representative for Federal Signal. When they started dealing Federal Signal around here in 2011, most if not all new Federal Signal sales in the state had to go though them. There were a few places in the state that would install Federal Signal products such as Northway Communications in Wausau that would sell FC's and Precision Drive and Control in Monroe, WI that would sell Federal Signal products occasionally. PDC maintained the sirens in Mineral Point and then got them to upgrade the system of Banshees to Eclipse 8's. Since they had to go though ECS to get the Federal Products they had them install the new sirens and remove the old ones. ECS keeps position of all old equipment that they take down. During their time as Action Electrical Contractors and the early years as ECS they generally scrapped the old sirens that they removed. When I talked to their owner in 2017 when Sheboygan "Upgraded" their sirens I told him that there was a market for used sirens with collectors and that was around the time stuff started popping up on eBay.
