Allertor vs. P-10

Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:15 pm

I'm wondering about the price & db difference. Otherwise, why make 2 sirens so much alike?

uncommonsense

P-10 replaced Allertor outright. For all intents and purposes the dual toned P-10 is the same siren as the Allertor, just with a redesigned housing.

Yup! ACA figured out that they could just combine the intake and horn into one instead of having the two separate horns. Cheaper to build and maintain, and also much lighter.

It was more like they had to redesign it the Allertor Had Freezing up problem that is why the Penetrator was designed to eliminate
the freezing up of the siren

With the Penetrator design being much better, Werden Electric had refurbished at least one Allertor and gave it a Penetrator housing instead of keeping its original Allertor housing and installed it in Clermont County.
Resident of a county with big a mixture of sirens, but in the process of being replaced. :(
