My new B-Series 1003

Sun Aug 29, 2021 2:06 am

I got my B-Series Thunderbolt 1003 from West Shore Services on August 25, 2021. I tested this siren and it works. This siren came with no rotator panel, rotator motor, solenoids, blower, AF Timer, or its RCMs. Please note, my father picked up my sirens for me since I was home sick. I plan to restore this siren as a project 1003. Project should be done by 2022 or 2023.

Rotator motor shouldn’t be a big deal, keep an eye out for old 1/4 or 1/3 Hp motors on Craigslist, marketplace or local garage sales. Your blower deal could be a PITA to figure out but regardless you still have a noise maker. The solenoids… I have no insight on that whole deal. Not having a timer isn’t the end of the world, I have an AF timer that just collects dust because I just run my units by hand with a breaker. What did you pony up for that unit if you don’t mind me asking?
Pyramid head walks into a bar... there are no survivors.
