You know what, Tom was nicer to you than I would have been. I didn't see anywhere in there where he characterized you as anything, he said he didn't understand your purposes and he didn't feel comfortable with what you wanted to do. Didn't see him refer to anyone as a creeper....also the way your first e-mail sounded... it sounded like you where there to find a failure of thier system... not to enjoy thier sirens. I don't blame the guy one little bit and had I recieved an e-mail response back from you like the one you sent... I would probably have my local police department check into you. With that type of e-mail... you give this board and all of it's posters a bad name.

You are entitled to your opinion. So here is mine. You are wrong. One for hitting me with bad karma as we are fellow siren enthusiast. Also I have not personally attacked you or the EMA guy. I don't get personal on chat boards. You will get a negative rating from me. My first letter to Sandwich was very clear about what I wanted to do out there. As a public service I do try to notify someone of authority when a siren doesn't work. I don't go looking for malfunctioning sirens. The whole purpose of recording is to get a clean run. I have done nothing wrong. He did not call me a creeper but this was the message conveyed by him about siren collectors. If he got harrassed by someone on here about getting a siren he shouldn't take a negative attitude towards me about it. I never asked him for any village equipment just information. He could have said sorry that is not available due to security reasons. As far as the police are concerned investigate away. It would just be a waste of taxpayers dollars as I am a upstanding citizen of the community and very patriotic. So I say to you go to Sandwich and record their sirens. They have a swell jail and feed you 3 nice meals a day.

Now we are talking!! I am poor and can't afford 3 squares a day... so maybe I will have to record the sirens AND get a place to live... I wonder if the jail serves Sandwiches.. sorry couldn't help myself. I didn't leave YOU negative karma, I don't play the negative Karma game unless you have done something to really pee in my cheerios.... I expected YOU to leave ME bad Karma because I didn't agree with your side and was agreeing with EMA guy... alot times if you don't go with the flow.... you get nasty stuff. I still stand by my position.... the guy had a reason for not wanting you to record the siren.... and I think you responded a little over dramtically. Everyone does have an opinion and I welcome that no matter what. As for the police thing, I should have written if I didn't know you were just a siren enthusist as well. But let us say you are a middle eastern terrorist type (something that requires more than 1 throat clearing to pronounce your name) and you sent the same e-mail... think of how that would look and be recieved.

just let it go people, just let it go, no need to fume about it, if they dont care about there sirens health then let them suffer the consequences of there actions, nothing we can do about it.
