Here is a video of an ATI in which I posted a video response. It's a shame Nashville went with them. Maybe by now they are sorry they did.

I don't know which siren they may have recorded. The several ATIs in Nashville I've heard certainly don't sound that good! Every time I've heard the one in my neighborhood or another one it's been a very high pitched electronic squeal.

Now i hate to bump this. But looking at the ATI site around 2017-2018. I came across this siren name the OPHSS or something like that. The picture looked like a Photoshop of a Federal Signal Modulator with ati controllers. I did some digging and at first thought this to be some odd figment of my imagination, but no these are real. Were any of these ever ordered? They seemed to be so short lived and my memory on these are hazy. and oh my gosh the perspective was off on some parts of this thing heres a picture i found. https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/do ... &mode=view
Just your average 14 year old Siren kid from O'Fallon. Living in a town with a mix of sirens.

I believe the reason these "Mods" were so short lived was due to the fact that Federal Signal was alerted about these sirens on Facebook.

They recently did come up with a new and "original" version. They look similar to the Modulator 2, but the internals are completely different. Here's the patent: https://patents.google.com/patent/US10110993B1/

I remember these "ATI modulators", iirc there was a picture of one that looked like more a (grossly) photoshopped montage of two modulators stacked, for the life of me I can't find it anymore.

As far as I know they never made it to production. I think that after Federal found out ATI removed their advertising of it. In the a patent they have for it the siren's interior is different, however it's obvious that it takes a lot from Federal's patent. If you read through the patent it's also very clear that they took the internal design from the I-Force and Quadren and merged it into the overall design. If it made it to production it would have had the ability to use 90, 180, and 270 degree coverage. I think that by changing the inside so much and the inclusion of 120 and 240 degree coverage they were able to slide past both of patents and get the design approved, but I'm pretty sure ASC and FS would both probably take action if it were ever made.

On an interesting side note they actually cite the WPS-2700, Modulator, and Quadren patents in thins creation of theirs.

i would say so myself. i haven't been on this site for nearly decade. i am from San Francisco and as most know we have had our system replaced by ATI. they system is vastly inferior and required a huge amount of extra sirens that still are unable to deliver the warning power our old and broken system delivered. i have recently moved from SF to Benicia Ca. Benicia has has a rather large refinery and is served with a system of federal 2001 sirens that ( in my opinion) are not placed well and are relatively under-performing.
