To me it looks like a H.O.R siro-drone because from what i can see the top louvers are close to each other

You may be right. I got another picture looking at it from a further distance. It does seem to look like that Siro-Drone.

I am a relatively new siren enthusiast and am trying to get pictures of the old sirens that were in my small town in New Jersey. We're close to New York, so it makes sense that we had sirens installed around the town. I only remember two; one on the roof of the police department and the other in front of my elementary school.
Unfortunately, these sirens have been removed. I believe I remember the one in front of my elementary school being an SD-10, but I have no pictures to verify this. However, there is a picture of the police department with the siren present.
Thing is, I am unsure if it is a Model 5 or 7. Any ideas?

It's most definitely a 5/7.

I just looked at it from a different angle and yes it is a 5/7

I'm not sure if I agree with it being homemade, the quality of workmanship in this thing looks too good to be a homebrew job unless someone knew what they were doing. Regardless though, it still is a very interesting unit whatever its deal is.
I think it's a GP3 with intake horns.
It's entirely possible but due to the rarity of Klaxon sirens in America (There probably isn't any) I would classify this as a homemade bench grinder job.
There are actually several Secomak GP3's in the US. Most of them are privately owned, though. And that motor looks WAY TOO MUCH like a GP3's motor to be a bench grinder. I think someone imported one from the UK or wherever secomak is.

I agree with you, now that I look at it again

May I have some of the commercial locations of GP3s in the US? I assume here they have the same pitch as T22s, unless running off of a phase converter? I think so at least...

Most are privately owned (other than that one). They are all single phase, either 110 or 230v. Those were the only voltages they came in. They aren't that big, and weigh about 20 pounds. They are actually higher pitched than 2T22s, they sound more like someone made a 2001-130 10/12 port.

so if the voltage couldn't be changed then wouldn't they sound like a British siren in America? I'm so stupid and confused...

No. It has a universal motor. They would sound the same in the UK.
I know WAYYYY TOO MUCH about these things...

That's interesting because I've seen a video on YT of a GP3 that sounds like a normal British siren.
