I’d have to guess that at least zones 5 and 6 in Hamilton County were activated. On my way home, I noticed that the T-128 at Sycamore Junior High was in a different position, which is in zone 6. However, the T-128 along Galbraith Road and Ronald Reagan Highway in Reading is part of zone 5, but does not appear to have moved. Does this one currently have a problem I wonder?

Lastly, I passed the T-128 at Galbraith & Winton Roads in Finneytown, which was in the same position as after this month’s test. It’s part of zone 4, which I assume was not activated.

It's kinda neat to see the HCEMA use the zone functions with the system. I never was sure whether or not they activated the whole county, or they used zones, even if the threat was confined to one zone.

Last month, the first activation at least included zones 3-6. Activations 2 and 3 seemed to only include zones 5 and 6.

Years ago, it was always a countywide activation.

Yeah, I guess zones are more practical now that tornado warnings are no longer county based, but rather polygon based.

My mom reportedly heard sirens at our house in Northside (closest sirens being the ones near Hamilton and Blue Rock and Hamilton and Ashtree and possibly the one in Spring Grove Village), but I didn't hear anything. My weather radio woke me up though. My sister heard the sirens in Erlanger as well (the closest one to her is the one at the Erlanger FD Station 1 on Graves Avenue)

Both Northside sirens appear to be in zone 3. My dad teaches at UC, which would also be zone 3, and said he didn’t hear them, but it really depends where you are. He did say that UC activated their severe weather alert system through the fire alarm system though, but it seemed to go off kind of late.

It was last week, and I assume everything went ok.

Did anyone hear sirens today? I was taking a test inside a gym, so I wasn't sure, but I thought I heard something for a second. My mom also thinks she heard them around 2.

There shouldn’t have been any reason for them to go off today... of course there are zones, but each siren I passed on my way home was still in the same position as after last week’s test.
