Possible Denver siren in Berkley, Michigan

Mon May 17, 2021 12:25 pm

While browsing around on Google Street View, I found this green box atop the old Berkley Fire Department, I am thinking it is a Denver, but I am not sure, here is the Streetview link for it: https://www.google.com/maps/@42.5023123 ... 384!8i8192

Anything could be inside that box, and while a siren is likely, it's a slim chance that it's a Denver siren. I would guess a more widespread model of horizontal siren such as a Sterling or a Darley Champion. But unless you can find some other info about it or hear something in person, there's no way to know and it's best not to make assumptions and generate false documentation.
Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

If it even is a siren, it's definitely horizontal. Whether it's Denver or not, I'd say it was a split between a Denver and a Sterling.

Doesn't appear to be anything in there at all from this angle. Though another Denver in Michigan wouldn't surprise me. There was one Bellevue, one in Capac and one in Grand Ledge. The latter of the two are still in place. Capac's Denver was tested every other test day as of 2019. Grand Ledge's Denver does work, but is not in service but plans to restore are in place.
