Hello,
I picked this up at a yard sale for 5 bucks the other day. It is marked Type H-1, dated 1942 and has a USN proof mark. The big question I have is the voltage, it is marked 115 volts DC and .2 amps. Could the 115 volt DC be correct? If so any ideas hoe to power it? I don't want to burn it out. Any thoughts???

That .2 (point two) Amp is suspect....the point does not look like any of the other periods used in the nomenclature and .2 Amp would not be enough to drive that siren...2 amps on the other hand, yes.
I am not that familiar with the Navy ships of that era.....I am assuming that with the electrical power generated aboard a ship would be slightly higher with it being DC
