Newbie here, just picked up a siren at an auction to restore. I have got the label off and cleaned enough to read. It is a Federal Electric, serial B106-1, type A, 115 volt, 1.6 amp. Any info on it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oooh, I love me some Model A! Does it have any oil sumps on the back? If so then it would be a very early model (~1910s-1920s). If not, then it would likely be 1930s-1948. I don't believe anyone has ever been able to decode the serials for Federal Electric sirens (yet), so getting a precise age would be difficult at best. Given the screws and nuts aren't seized, disassembly should be a breeze with these. Good luck with the restoration!

Also, pictures would be great to see it's current condition!
