Damaged T135AC Test

Wed Oct 05, 2011 10:55 pm

I got a video of the T135 with the broken projector horn going off. It sounds pretty scary!

This is my very first siren video too! Tell me what you think.
Sorry for all the background noise, we were on the way to an appointment.

The thread on this siren: http://airraidsirens.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11228

PS. Sorry for stuttering like a crazy person, I was really nervous and I lost what I was going to say.

Dang! That thing is still loud as hell without the rest of the horn on it. Seems like it really has no effect on the sound output. Great video!

Brings back memories of the tornado that we saw hit the Wolfchase Mall back in 2001. I remember hearing that particular siren going off (and others) right before it hit. I wish I had brought the video camera back then... it would have made for an incredible video. Then again, I was only 7..

Yep, that extra projector length low-passed the sound a bit. I'm not sure what kind of advantage that would give though. Did it just offer better projection with a longer projector?
What happened when Napoleon went to Mt. Olive? Popeye got pissed.

It shouldn't; it's not really an acoustic horn as much as it is a "director." what's left after that thing was cut apart is enough to "throw" the sound in the desired direction. After all the P-50 was just a Cyclone tipped on its side and stuck in the bottom of a bucket.

A big bucket.
Then again, I was only 7..
no excuse.
