Hey guys,I'v run into a bit of a problem, The other day when I was showing Dillon, and Logan my SD-10 I noticed that it was making a bit of a scraping noise when the rotor was spun so I took 'er apart today and was looking at the motor and noticed it was coming from there. Now, my question is: How do I get the armature/rotor out of the motor?

If I recall correctly there are a few huge bolts on the back of the motor. Take those off, remove the back part and then the motor should be able to separate in to 3 different pieces, then just pull out the armature. You'll also need to remove the stator and take off that front piece too. There should be more bolts underneath the stator.

The motor is completely seperated from the stator and rotor, it has the motor cap/bearing cap off, the side of motor that would be again stator has no bolts or anything.

If that bearing was seized, that thing will spin for EVER with a new one.
Decades ago, I noticed that when the SD-10 near me was tested. You could hear it spin for a good long time.

Thanks Logan! Decided to go the opposite way of other siren enthusiasts and try a different color! Thinkin about possibly getting some fire red or cherry red paint and painting the motor or motor cap. Used only 2 cans of Rustoleum Safety Blue.

You inspired me; we need a blue and white Allertor! (I think you guys can figure out the paint scheme)
