Antiwhoknows found an almost mint "intertwined" Thunderbolt decal. While I am ecstatic that a decal has been found that establishes conclusively what the decal looks like. I am, of course, disappointed that my idea of what the decal actually looked like was close, yet materially different. The biggest disappointment and the biggest difference is that instead of blue and red like the F-S decal, the "intertwined" is black and red like the Circle-F.

The second difference is that what looked like a thin outline on all four of the examples that I had on my Thunderbolt is actually just the edges of the decal. I lave left the outline on my master copy but changed it from a solid blue line to a dotted gray line. To accurately represent the shape of the decal, it should be cut along the inside of the dotted line.

Thanks to antiwhoknows for finding an excellent example of the third type of decal applied to Thunderbolt sirens.

Here is my master reworked to more accurately reflect an actual decal.

Here is the decal. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty sure my face looked like when I saw it.



EDIT: If I recall correctly, I read somewhere that there were also Circle F Thunderbolt decals that had black instead of blue. I remember taking an image of one with the blue and turning it black to see what it looked like. I actually have one printed off and taped to my door.

That is great. Too bad the photo is not a straight shot.
Looks like red and black to me. And looks not too bad to change one of my Circle F ones to this one.

My original Circle F is red and black (photo makes it look blue)

I prefer the 80s style FS logos but these older ones are starting to grow on me.

I did try a straight-on shot but since it was night, I had to use my camera flash and it reflected off the decal because it was shiny. Here's that picture.
