Fireworks going off up the street as well so I tried doing an attack signal after 40 seconds of alert.

I'll upload my video as soon as I buy a DVD-burner; that's why I couldn't upload the videos of my train-hunts since summer! I might ask some of my friends as to whether they have a burner, and then I'll try to copy the video from the DVD. Maybe I could just buy a USB cable for my camcorder sometime.

New Years blast went off fine, but not super-exciting...

I put my model L (missing the intake horn) in the barbecue grill, with the lid open to act like a horn. Obviously not accoustically correct or anything, but it DID project the sound, and it seemed louder and deeper. I ran a 100' extension cord from the patio up into the kitchen, and set up my Variac. That way, I could blow the siren from inside the house with all doors shut, and see how loudly it could be heard. RESULTS: Probably as loud as a passing fire engine :)

Here are some photos of the setup, and MPEG videos of the siren blast, and also some COOL illegal fireworks that we picked up in Deming, New NM last month... The videos play in Window Media Player. Beware that the siren video is a big file; about 5 MB. The fireworks one is less than a MB.

I ran it on 110VAC after having a slight altercation with my neighbor on Thursday over a bush I slam into with my old car (the bush is on our property, he's claiming it's his  ). After I stopped the recorder I blasted it again for another 3 seconds, than brought it inside just in case someone called the cops (no one did).
That's a GREAT recording! You sure outdid my New Years blast  ...

I could have set my 2T off But everyone in the neighborhood knows where it is (on top of my Apt) and who's it is.
