Hopefully they'll be replaced by 2001s. I'm not a fan of the AL-8000s.

Did O'Fallon repair the malfunctioning T-Bolt at the high school that's in a YouTube video?

How many T-Bolts are left in O'Fallon?

They repaired it in '09, and to my knowledge 2-3 are left.

The ones I know about are:

N Smiley St and E Wesley Dr
O'Fallon High School
Hartman Lane and Delmar Ave (the one I just recorded)

All three still stand with the 45 degree view in Google Maps, which was updated sometime on or before August 2011.

Enjoy those T-Bolts in O'Fallon while they still have them. There's only 1 left in St. Charles County where I live, and it's in St. Peters. When I moved here almost 21 years ago there were several T-Bolts: 4 in the City of St. Charles, 2 in Wentzville, and 2 in St. Peters. Now we're down to 1.

Does Freeburg still have a T-Bolt? I remember seeing it years ago, probably back in the late 1970s-early 80s.

Any other city/town over your way that has a T-Bolt(s)? Or used to but no longer does?

When my brother and his ex still lived in St. Peters, I would go there at least once a month. There used to be one on Jungermann and Willot Road. A 2001-130 sits near its place. Also, driving along I-70, I saw one somewhere along the route. It's been years since I've seen it, so I couldn't tell you specifics.

No idea about Freeburg's Thunderbolts. Never saw them in person...I believe Luke (Crazywarriorman) informed me of their presence.

As far as I know, other than O'Fallon, Fairmont City, Lebanon, Troy, and SIUE have one. SIUE's and Fairmont City's were discovered via pictures on the internet / Bing Maps. I've seen and heard Troy's and it is a 1000, and Lebanon's was heard through a recent tornado warning video and it is a 1003.

I knew that Troy has one, come to think of it, along I-55. And one day a few years ago as I was traveling to Collinsville along I-55/70 I happened to look over to the west and saw a T-Bolt off in the distance and it turned out to be the one in Fairmont City. It appears to be sitting atop a building, which I'm guessing is their City Hall maybe?

I did not know that Lebanon and SIUE have T-Bolts.

The T-Bolt that you saw in St. Charles County as you drove along I-70 might've been the one in the City of St. Charles at their old Fire Station #2. That siren was replaced about 10 years ago by an ASC T-128.

I assume it's their city hall, but knowing that area, I refuse to try to record something there. Regardless of what the crime data reports about Fairmont City, I don't trust the city.

Lebanon's 1003 is located on top of their fire department building. SIUE's is located at the Heating and Refrigeration Plant, which I am certain is off-limits to those who aren't employees.

I don't remember if it was within St. Charles County or within St. Louis County. If what you said is true, then it would have been in the latter county. Latest we took trips there was back in 2009.

Dunno if you guys are talking about just St Clair, or the general area but Albers, IL has a 1000 which is from Shiloh

Fairmont City does have a 1003 on a pole next to their fire department. Perhaps this the one you saw? http://g.co/maps/8hqgm

St. Louis metro area is what we are talking about, I suppose. Albers is close enough to it. I forgot that you mentioned that fact, though. Shiloh is nothing but 2001s now, but they work.

Getting an ambiance recording of Mascoutah's system would be neat. From what I've seen in person, they have two xT22s and two Whelen omnidirectional sirens.

Did you hear the SIUE Thunderbolt in person, Ian? One test day, I sat outside between class and could have swore I heard the Thunderbolt. Sounded like a 2001.
