I think the Equinox we've seen last year was the 508 in the rough; an Eclipse's rotor fitted to a 2001-130. I guess they gave it the green light and now a year later this is probably the housing designed to match the rotor's lower cutoff frequency. Could it be that this still isn't the very final iteration of the design? Maybe that's why it's not on their site yet. It looks like the inner "cone" is actually a doughnut that rounds off at the back area, cause there's no way the rotor can be that big! Can it?This siren isn't even on Federal's website yet. What's up with that?! You would think they'd be wanting to show it off, a.k.a. trying to sell them!

I'm interested in hearing what they sound like. Hopefully they have a much lower pitch than the 2001s.
