Generic eBay siren

Fri Aug 03, 2012 8:08 pm

This popped up on eBay just recently and I'm intrigued by it. It's just some non brand name generic siren but it looks neat. I'd like to know if anyone here has bought one.

Metro2001 is a very trustworthy eBay seller (I have bought several things from him and they have all shipped very quickly and without issues, but if there are issues the return policy is great.) who imports things from other countries and instead of selling to a middle-man, he sells the items directly which is why they are generally cheaper than other items on eBay that are the same thing.

That is one of Lion King Signal's sirens that is meant to be used in the same way a Model A is used. I have several LKS sirens, including the small plastic hand crank, the large 8 inch hand crank, the grey 24 volt and the small red 12 volt and they all work great. The large 8 inch is probably my favorite. He told me he plans to get more of those 110v red ones you linked to but it will take a few months. I will get one eventually, it looks like an excellent outdoor burglar alarm to attach to a home security system.

I think it'd be really cool if he sold some of the bigger sirens from LKS, maybe their larger dual tone models. Too bad most of them require 3 phase power.

When you can get a real siren for 300 I wouldn't spend that much on that, that's just me though

Sounds like a Model A to me.

Sounds really low pitched to be a Model A.
