Now that you say that, it really does resemble an intake screen for a centrifugal pump, especially with it laying among other large flanged steel pipe fittings and PVC pipe. Don't think this one's a Riverscreen (or any other self-cleaning screen) though, that little 3/4" barbed fitting just past the screen is probably for the primer pump intake so it too can be filtered.Farmer Joe wrote:That is a rotary intake screen for an irrigation system that pumps from a surface water source (lake, pond, river, etc).
