The exact address in the packet is 10556 McKelvey Rd. Obviously, there is nothing there or maybe even anywhere else nearby.

Here, Hamilton County put a new map of the system on the EMA site, and I'm pretty sure this is the CompuLert system map. I think many of these locations may only be pinpointed from all of the original locations in the packet, because some of these sirens aren't even installed yet, some of the old sirens that don't get a replacement aren't on here, even if they are still active today, some of the old sirens that have replacements are still active, and obviously, several old locations that were supposed to have the replacement at the same location ended up being moved.

I thought this system would be smarter than this, knowing the exact location for each siren that is installed and hooked into the system. It doesn't seem that way to me....

Here are a few sirens from NKU's campus.

Image
This one's very close to the main entrance.

I believe this is right in front of either the soccer field or the football stadium. Didn't get a chance to go over there, so I don't know which.

Right in front of a residence hall...

...and these are either the controls for the Modulator or part of a FS fire alarm system. I'm leaning towards the latter, but then again, I've never seen a Modulator's controls.

This box is a battery cabinet. It looks like it is hooked up with the fire alarm system, so this must be the battery backup for the fire alarm system.

Drove by the T-128 on Blue Rock again on my way home from work tonight and the power switch is STILL turned off.

Why on earth would they hook it up to the power only to leave it turned off for over a month?

It must not have the software chip installed in the RTU yet.

Did it have a lock on it? If it doesn't pass inspection sometimes the power company will lock the disconnect in the off position.

Or they'll just pull the meter.

There doesn't appear to be a lock on the disconnect switch at all. I would assume it wouldn't even get hooked up to the power if it didn't pass inspection first.

Remingtoncountry - I don't think anyone here knows how that siren works.

One more note about Cincinnati-area sirens...

A while back someone was wondering if the TBolt on St. Catherine of Siena Church in Fort Thomas was still there.

Yesterday I finally got a chance to drive down there before work. The TBolt is gone now. As it turns out, that Modulator I found at Rossford Park earlier this year (which was installed in late 2011 I believe) is the replacement for that TBolt, being only a few blocks from the church.

I still don't understand why anyone thinks replacing a TBolt with a Modulator is a good idea though.
