Montgomery, AL old Civil Defense siren system

Sat Mar 30, 2013 1:25 pm

I'm working on a map of Montgomery, AL's old CD system. They had a bunch of Thunderbolts (1000ATs, with a few 1000s) and Thunderbeams, but most are now gone.

Anywho, here is the map. I'm looking for a Thunderbeam by some apartments.

I live in Tallassee Al and work in montgomery, I have seen 2 thunderbeams, one off Ann/Zelda Road area, one off the northern blvd, and 2 T.bolts one downtown on the Al. Office Building across from the capital, and one off Carmichael at a Taco Bell,
I have pics of them, and also am looking to see where the rest of them are

I have only seen one thunderbeam that was replaced by a whelen
My knowledge excels on the Federal Thunderbolt siren and SiraTone EOWS sirens. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Be careful not to post on old topics unless you have something valuable to contribute. Where is the thunderbeam?

I'm pretty sure it is the Spruce & Ann one, that's the only Tbeam beside a whelen in the city
