Just got everything but the motor back from paint and sandblasting! It's really coming together, the only holdups are that the motor needed another coat of paint to make it look like I wanted, and I am waiting on the motor shaft spacer and washer from Joe.
Thanks! Will do! Should get the motor back sometime this week, than once the other parts arrive it will be done! And the big thing about it is I just got this siren a few weeks ago lol.
The STH-10 is my 2nd favorite siren after Tbolt. The city of Smyrna, GA where I formerly lived installed a system of STH-10s in the 70s and then added several more during the 80s. The sirens were tested every Saturday at noon. I lived about 4 blocks from one and could hear it clearly inside my house with the windows closed.
The STH-10 has a GREAT startup sound which gets your attention and a LONG winddown. Quite a workhorse for its size!
Where I live in New York, they either have a system of them, or just love 'em because they're everywhere. Same with their brother, the STL-10. There is one even in a rail yard with its own "repair" platform on there. Never seen so many in such a small county...
WOW! That STH-10 looks Great! Keep up the good work. STH-10's aren't my favorite siren because there are a lot of them around and they have a higher pitch, like a 2001, and they don't rotate.
