Re: Did Sterling buy the Denver Siren patent?

I guess out of the numerous companies that side-tracked their line of products to help with the war efforts, a few of them thought it might've been profitable to just keep going in that direction, since they already invested money to make the stuff.

Don't forget B&N, they were originally a sheet metal manufacturing company. I'm not sure what CLM did/does, but it certainly wasn't/isn't sirens, either.

Oh, and not to double post but I just remembered Darley. They're still around making fire apparatus, I assume that's what they did previously to building sirens.

No sterling did not buy Denver. Erick siren bought Denver. If you look at the older Erick they look like a vertical Denver with 1 set of rotors instead of 2

If thats the case, thenwhy would Sterling make a siren EXACTLY like a Denver siren if they did not buy the patent?

Because someone from ATI time-travelled? :P

Seriously though, it could be an early case of "re-hashing", similar to the Darley-Federal relationship.

I've also noticed the Denver and Erick siren similarites. The two are definitely connected in some form or fashion.
