Loudoun ES-5000DC ?

Sat Jul 13, 2013 2:35 am

I was looking at their facebook page and seen what appears to be one in Macon. Has anyone seen or heard these things in person? They claim they put out 136 Db, but the setup looks the same as their other ones.

Oh god, Macon bought more of these things. I want to see that thing put in a chamber and tested.

Here is the brochure from their facebook page. No mention of any certification or chamber testing.

Oh it may be 136 db. But at what distance? They just so happen to leave that out...

The 136dB spec is probably a calculated value based on the measured 1W/1m specification for the horn/driver combo (the efficiency spec most common in the audio industry). The distance would thus be 1 meter from the horn.

They can't even get the tone names correct. "Up/Down"? "Standard"?
