Night or the twister city siren

Sun Aug 11, 2013 1:16 am

You've all seen it, the 1996 made for tv film, Night o the Twisters. in the second tornado scene you hear a Carter's sound dubed in, my question is, what did the town use at the time of the movie for a tornado siren? I would imagine they have 2001's or something similar now.

That movie was based on the Grand Island tornado outbreak. Grand Island still has a lot of CD sirens in use.

It was shot in Kleinburg, Ontario. Don't know what they had. But at the time, Grand Island had a mix of dual tone Thunderbolts, XT22s, Model 5s, etc like they do now. Most of that system is gone since the sirens were destroyed from the tornadoes. I know I didn't answer your question, but I can't stand the movie.
